The CEWQO 2018 will take place the University of Balearic Islands (UIB), specifically at the Gaspar Melchor de Jovellanos building, which is located 7.5 km north of Palma.

The best option to reach UIB campus is by metro (subway), line M1 from Plaza España (stop named Estació Intermodal in ticket machines). The metro ends in the UIB campus. Travel time is 13', frequency 20', each ticket costs 1.60€ and can be purchased at the ticket machines located in the station hall (bills larger than 20€ are not accepted). Keep the ticket as it is needed to leave the station. A map and the schedule of the M1 line can be download from this page.

You can also arrive to the UIB by bus line 19 (labelled as "Universitat") from Plaza España (ticket price 1.50€). Bus frequency is about one every 15'.  To get to the Jovellanos building the bus stop number is 571 and is called "Edifici Beatriu de Pinós". To go back to Palma downtown the bus stop is in front of the building (number 1140 "edifici Jovellanos"). Trip time is about 30' and tickets can be purchased from the bus driver (only bills up to 10€ are accepted). For more information, you can download the schedule from this page.

How to go from Palma Airport to Palma downtown
 
The international "Son Sant Joan" airport (airport code PMI) is located 8 km east of Palma.
 
At the Airport take the Bus Line 1 to Plaza de España (or Plaça d'Espanya). The stop is outside the Airport Arrivals' Hall. There is one bus every 12-15 minutes. Ticket price: 5€. Tickets can be purchased from the bus driver (only bills up to 10€ are accepted).  For more information on buses visit the EMT web page, where you can find alternative stops hat may more suitable for your hotel. 
 
Alternatively you can also take a Taxi from the Airport to Palma. Taxis can be found just outside the Airport Arrivals Hall. Typical fares are 20-25€ depending on destination and number of suitcases. The are supplemental fares for night and holiday services.
